Health

Selam Restaurant & Lounge follows all Ontario public health measures and advice. Additionally, we are regularly inspected by Toronto’s DineSafe program (see report) to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.

We need your help in keeping our community safe. If you or someone close to you is feeling unwell with symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, stuffy or runny nose, sneezing, facial pressure, or persistent fatigue, please stay home and take care. You can use Ontario’s self-assessment tool for further guidance. We’ll be here to welcome you back when you’re feeling better!

We encourage everyone to review Ontario’s Protect Against COVID-19 and Respiratory Illnesses, especially during high transmission periods, which can occur year-round. The health guidelines recommend staying current with vaccines, staying home when sick, wearing a well-fitting mask in busy indoor spaces, improving indoor air quality and flow, and regularly cleaning hands. While our venue is clean and equipped with ceiling air circulation vents to help thin airborne particles, this alone may not prevent potential transmission. You may choose to wear a mask when not eating for added protection. Consider visiting us early or late. We are busiest on Saturdays 9-10 PM and Sundays 7-9 PM.

The long-term effects of COVID-19 can impact overall health, leading to symptoms such as chronic fatigue, respiratory issues, and damage to the heart or lungs, as well as cognitive impairments, memory problems, anxiety, and depression.

Our restaurant’s Guidelines reflect our commitment to creating a safer environment for everyone, and we value your trust in us.
